| From 2002 October, according to European Union--EU 72/245/EEC,
and revised 95/54/EC prescript: every product using on vehicle
and its parts & accessories must labels "e-mark"
and its approving items. The circle frame of the "e-mark"
identifies every product which designed for vehicle on stopping
& running, for example: Wind shield, seat-belt, brake
light...etc.
The number inside of circle frame 1, 2, ....13..., represents
different country which can decree the e-mark certification
to others. For example: 1=Germany, 4=Holland, 13=Luxembourg...,
etc. Each number means from theirs MOTC (Ministry of transportation
and communications) and signed e-mark certification. The approving
items of e-mark are:
- Radiated Broadband Emissions
- Radiated Narrowband Emissions
- Radiated Immunity
There are two kinds of e-mark certifications:
"E"
Mark: The "E" mark is based on ECE regulations
issued by the Economic Commission for Europe, which is based
in Geneva . It is an organizational part of the UN and the
members are EU countries and many others.
"e"
Mark: The "e" mark is the proof of compliance
with directives (laws) required by the European Union. The
Council of European communities in Brussels issues these
directives and all members must accept approved products.
